Marie Presley has blasted rumors her teenage son is set to follow in
the father's footsteps by recording an album. Elvis' 17-year-old
grandson, Ben, was reported to have signed a $5 million record deal
Spokesperson for Lisa Marie says
there is no truth to the reports, insisting the record deal is
"completely made up" and that Ben won't be heading into the studio
because he is "a student right now."
A swatch of Elvis Presley’s hair, sold for $18,300 at a Chicago
auction. The locks, believed to have been snipped from
Elvis when he joined the Army in 1958, were among the memorabilia
collected by Gary Pepper, who was president of the Tankers Fan Club.
The hair was not DNA-tested, but authenticated by "an expert in
celebrity hair" The highest-grossing item was a cotton shirt with the
monogram EP.
Elvis Presley’s 154.5-acre ranch in
Horn Lake, Mississippi, is up for sale for 6.5 million dollars.
The "Circle G Ranch" located 10 mile south of Graceland in
Memphis, Tennessee was bought by the Elvis in 1967. He and
Priscilla had lived on the ranch and a small cottage called
"Honeymoon Cottage" still stands on the property.

Conceived at The Peabody, born in
Memphis, raised in Blytheville, Ark. George Hamilton returned to
his home town to promote his new book, titled "Don't Mind If I Do"
Hamilton wasn't close to Elvis (with his white cape and gold
chains, Presley was "sort of a daytime Dracula," Hamilton writes)
but he calls Col. Tom Parker his "best friend." In fact, Parker
was the best man at Hamilton's wedding to Alana Collins (who
next wed Rod Stewart) and Parker sent the

Elvis Presley memorabilia from his
18-month stint in the U.S. Army and his first appearance in a
TV special will be shown publicly for the first time in two new
exhibits opening this month at Graceland.
"Private Presley" will include his Army fatigues, dress
uniforms, other items of clothing, his foot locker and a cedar
clothes storage chest.
Bill Belew, who designed
Elvis
Presley's jumpsuits and much of his personal wardrobe from
1969 to 1977, died of cardiac arrest on January 7 after a
prolonged illness.
Muslims and
Jews alike visit Israel's Elvis Inn, a gas station and cafe
not far from the border with the West Bank. The inn's owner, Uri
Yoeli, 61, has been Elvis fan from age 16.
