A picture is worth a thousand words - Buy or burrow digital camera from a friend. Most digital cameras no matter how inexpensive will suffice. Do take several photos of the item from different angles. And most importantly take one close up - this will offer the best thumbnail image that will appear in the top left of your eBay listing.
Your title should reflect your item's best features! "1959 Authentic Elvis Autography" will receive more hits than "Elvis Autograph" To call attention to your title use of caps and emoticons, such as, "AUTHENTIC - Elvis Autograph" or "hand signed not printed"

Have your auction posted for 7 days, starting and ending on a week day. Should want to post a 5 day auction start on a Monday ending on Friday DO NOT to include weekends - as many bidders still do not have computers at home.
Post your auction at the right time of day. Prices can really shoot up during those last few fevered minutes of an auction. If your auction ends at 5:30 am there may not be anyone around to increase your price with those important last-minute bids.
