Scientology –  Lisa Marie Quits Scientology Presley Donated Millions to Church of Scientology The religion of choice for many of Hollywood’s rich and famous, Scientology was introduced to her daughter Lisa Marie by her mother Priscilla after reached out to John Travolta after Elvis died in 1977. Priscilla has been in it ever since and she raised her daughter Lisa Marie in it.’

Scientology – Over the years Lisa Marie rose through the ranks of the mysterious church, becoming an influential and well-respected member, even accepting a Humanitarian Award for her activities within the church. But in the past decade she is said to have had a growing dissatisfaction with Scientology, and in 2016 officially defected.

Scientology – But her mother and 28-year-old daughter, actor Riley Keough, are both still devout Scientologists, and are reportedly fighting to get her to rejoin the church. Scientology may explain some of the Elvis estate’s missing millions: It’s rumoured that Priscilla gave the church a hefty share of Elvis Presley’s estate.

Scientology – Elvis himself was deeply sceptical of Scientology. The late music icon’s friend Marty Lacker wrote in his book Elvis Aaron Presley: Revelations From The Memphis Mafia that after a visit to the Scientology centre in Los Angeles, Elvis said: “F**k those people! There’s no way I’ll ever get involved with that son-of-a-bitchin’ group. All they want is my money.”

Scientology has been called an ‘evil cult’, attracting celebrities like Tom Cruise. Priscilla Presley, who recently dated singer Tom Jones. that counts Tom Cruise and John Travolta as members. With her daughters’ Lisa Marie leaving made it hard for Priscilla to continue attending the Church.  But Priscilla admits leaving Scientology was has been a family decision. Scientology, founded by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard in 1955, has been the subject of controversy for years.
